With her work Roos Van de Walle wants to embody an encounter between pop culture and what is considered traditional design and sculpting.

By creating a visual language that touches upon the iconography of Neo Pop and Pop Art and yet responds to the aesthetic aspirations of the fine arts.

The result is a form of sculpture that closely reflects the environment in which she lives. That world is a digital world, full of avatars, in which people shape themselves online.

Through the analysis of figurative characters from Western and Japanese pop culture she strives to unearth her own personal visual language.
