Manon De Bruyn

Manon De Bruyn (MA) graduated in Printmaking at the Royal Academy of fine arts of Antwerp. She searches for the different possibilities in drawing by adding humor and absurdity. Depending on the drawing or image, she translates it in the medium etching, screenprint, tattoo, tapestry, or a publication.

The work that is shown at To Be is the etching ‘Op pad’. In the process of making the etching she was surprised of some coincidences that happened and had an important impact on future works. The image is a playful scene where it seems as if the figures have been caught because of the strong contrast.

On view at Sint-Joriskerk.
