Geraldo Dos Santos is an artist who was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1993. He has grown up internationally, living in different countries such as the Netherlands, Brazil, and Peru. He studied at the National Art University of Lima, Peru, where he was first introduced to classical oil painting. After completing his studies there, he returned to the Netherlands to further his understanding and knowledge of contemporary art by attending the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, where he graduated from the Fine Arts department in July 2020 and have a  master's degree in Autonomous Context at Sint Lucas Antwerp 2022 -2023.

The research deals with the intimate past and focuses on relatable memories, using a narrative approach to storytelling. He has a strong interest in exploring the relationship between memory-heritage, connection, tradition, and identity His artworks depict the emulsion of things that surround us, and the subject matter is personal and shared trajectories of strange relationships. He uses his personal experiences and memories to create works that are relatable to the viewer, inviting them to reflect on their own past and experiences.His artworks are heavily influenced by his background of growing up in different countries, and his focus on the relationship between the simbiosis of tradition, and identity.  Creating a sense of intimacy and relatability. The use of a narrative approach to storytelling allows him to convey his message in a more impactful way, evoking emotions and memories in the viewer.

The focus on strange relationships in his work suggests a deep exploration of the complexities of human interactions, and the ways in which our experiences shape our understanding of the world around us. The use of the term "emulsion" in describing his work, implies the combination of different elements to create a cohesive whole, reflecting the complexity of memories and experiences.

Geraldo Dos Santos is an artist who works across a wide range of media, including paintings, ceramics, drawings, and installations. He uses his art to question our preconceptions and assumptions about our beliefs. Through his systematic organization of relatable memories and memory-heritage, he seeks to understand the consciousness of the world around him, and the role that tradition plays in shaping our understanding of the past. He is interested in exploring the subconscious triggers of melancholic emotions, physical relationships, and mental spaces that are connected to certain events, emotions, moments and sentimental captions. He is also interested in addressing the familiar gaze by analyzing the personal hubris of visual sociology. His use of different mediumshe create different layers of meaning and symbolism.
