‘Echo’ is a search for pictoriality.
It emerged from my fascination to create an image that can prompt introspection and suggestion. The skin that ink puts on paper is explored while the function of representation is abandoned. It starts with the subject, but its representation is never the goal. The images do not reflect recognizable reality but encourage contemplation, guiding the viewer inward, toward personal thought.
The series reflects meditative moments experienced during the photographical process. The final works thus become visual expressions of these meditations, offering a space for the viewer to reflect.
