The works I produce, shimmer with depths, revealing and concealing, flickering like memories on the edge of forgetting. With each piece, I collect glimmers of existence, distilling the transient into a momentary glimpse of truth. What seems solid dissolves, what appears fades - a reminder that everything is fleeting, ever-changing, never as it seems.

Helena Berg

Helena Berg (°2002) is an Antwerp based artist whose work includes printmaking, drawing, installation, conceptual art and site-specific art. She is a graduate at the printmaking and drawing department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.

In her work she tries to reconnect with nature by walking around the city, looking for natural things that seem almost human-made. In her most recent search towards spatial work, she aims to reflect the feeling of being understood. To show that, in a way, we are all carried by the confluence of mother earth and the humankind in all its (im)perfection.

“As I stand and stare

I watch the birds prepare the air

For their last dance

Before the falling of night

Off they gp

Into the height

I watch them swing and swirl

I watch them pearlPerform their dance so gracefully

So elegant

Yet free

Watching them

Wishing it were me”
