Jiyoung Kim is a South Korean artist born in 1994 Bucheon. Under her mother who is Hanbok designer (Korean traditional costume)
she got creative and cultural influences.
Since 2015 she started studying Italian tailoring in Instituto Secoli in Milan. After finishing her studies in Milan,
She moved to Antwerp in 2017 and she worked as tailor for a year. Since 2018 she decided to be an artist. Started studying in Insitu at the Royal Academy of Fine Art
Antwerp.
She is interested in language, symbols, time, and nature and reproduces them in her own language based on her experiences. Textiles, metals, sound, video,
text, Photograph, and many other mediums are used.
