Inspired by the solo exhibition of British artist Helen Cammock, Soukaïna Bennani presents the performance “All the voices she speaks”. Bennani’s performance can be understood as a response to the work Chorus I – Che si può fare, in which Cammock explores through several interviews with women the power of lamentation and its potential to function as an expression of survival, resilience and hope. To the tones of Roberta Mameli – Madrigals, book 8, Bennani’s poem explores her own position as a woman in familial, religious, cultural and social contexts.
